EFA Studios Program is proud to present Steeped in Spilled Milk pt.2, curated by artist and staff member Alexander Si, and produced in collaboration with 24EBroadway. The group exhibition includes works from Antonius Bui, Cecile Chong, Jennifer Ling Datchuk, Cui Fei, Caroline Garcia, Bundith Phunsombatlert, Hayoon Lee, sTo Len, Xin Song, and Anne Wu.
Underscoring the vulnerable positions of the femme, queer and trans Asian bodies in light of the murder of Christina Yuna Lee and the one year anniversary of the Atlanta spa shootings, as well as other hate crimes upon the APIA community, the second iteration of Si’s ongoing curatorial project Steeped in Spilled Milk opens up a space for storytelling and healing. The artists use motifs of jaggedness, thorns, pollution, and fractures that equally symbolize the resilience, malleability, and silent dignity of the community.
