Sally Egbert
My work is a combination of pulling together observations from my daily surroundings and influences and inspirations from paintings from times long ago, i.e. the beauty of Giotto, the paintings of Matisse. I combine what I see in the present day along with the past to create paintings and collages, incorporating the collage element into both my works on canvas and on paper. My work, while primarily abstract, also references landscapes, light, sky, trees, and flowers.
