Patte Loper
Patte Loper is a painter who experiments with video and installation, her work combines provisionally built sculpture with painting, drawing, and video and has been described as intertwining "architecture, urban planning and activism to create an unholy alliance between aesthetics and ideology". Recent exhibitions include the Drawing Center, the Bronx Museum, the Tacoma Museum, the Jordan National Gallery for Fine Art, the Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences in West Virginia, and the non-profit gallery Suyama Space in Seattle, WA. She is currently Professor of the Practice and serving as Chair of the Drawing and Painting Department at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University.
